Lady Buckeyes Save Day in West Lafayette E-mail

WEST LAFAYETTE-- Following a men's crushing defeat earlier in the day, Senior Brittany Johnson hit five second-half three-pointers, including the game winner with 0.7 seconds remaining, to give the Lady Buckeyes a thrilling come-from-behind win over Purdue, 76-74.  I bet there are no fingernails left growing in West Lafayette tonight! Great game Ladies!

Columbus (OSUBuckeyes.com) - The #14 OSU women's gymnastic's team set a team season high in a 195.825 - 195.050 win over Kentucky Sunday afternoon at St John Arena.  Go Buckeyes!

 
OSU Tennis Starts with Doubleheader Sweep! E-mail

COLUMBUS (OSUBuckeyes.com)- The No. 4 Ohio State men's tennis team completed a doubleheader sweep by downing Xavier, 7-0, Wednesday evening at the Varsity Indoor Tennis Center. With the victory, the Buckeyes (2-0) move to 10-0 all-time when going head-to-head with the Musketeers (0-2). Earlier in the day, Ohio State defeated Butler, 7-0, in the first match of the annual opening-day meeting with the two teams.  GREAT Start! GO BUCKS!

OSU Underclassmen Staying for Sr Year E-mail

Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel confirmed to The Columbus Dispatch on Tuesday that all of the team's underclassmen will be back in 2011.  Lets hope it stays that way and the NCAA reduces the punishment by at least one game to keep it fair for the other 40+ players.  Go Bucks!

 
Pryor - Surgery on Injured Foot E-mail

COLUMBUS (ESPN.com) -- Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor underwent surgery on Friday afternoon to repair an injury to his right foot. Posting on his Twitter account, Pryor deemed the surgery "successful."  Pryor was injured in the fourth quarter of the Buckeyes' 31-26 Sugar Bowl win over Arkansas on Tuesday. It was a quarterback sneak in which he has reaching for a first down. He left the game, but did return with a limp. The surgery stabilized some ligaments in the foot.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Freshman Jared Sullinger had 24 points and 12 rebounds and No. 2 Ohio State rallied to overtake Iowa 73-68 on Tuesday night.  Jon Diebler added 14 points for the Buckeyes (15-0, 2-0 Big Ten), who have won five straight over the Hawkeyes for the first time in school history.

COLUMBUS (OSUBuckeyes.com) --  Jantel Lavender scored 29 points, making 12 of 13 field goals and all five free throws in only 29 minutes of the Buckeyes (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today, No. 13 AP) 86-38 win vs Bethune-Cookman on Sunday.  The Buckeyes' (9-4) three-game skid started against top-ranked Connecticut on Dec. 19 and was followed by a home loss to Duquesne and Thursday's defeat at Michigan in the Big Ten opener.  Now that the streak is ended...let's go Lady Buckeyes, sweep the field!!

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - William Buford scored the first seven points of the game and came out of an offensive funk to finish with 23 to lead No. 2 Ohio State to a 100-40 victory over Tennessee-Martin on Monday night.
