(OhioStateBuckeyes.com) Former Detroit Lions standout cornerback Dick Lebeau has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Commenting on his life as a Buckeye, LeBeau said, "They ask me about what coach did you borrow the most from. I had too many great ones. When I was at Ohio State, I played for Woody Hayes, the great Woody Hayes. I still learned something almost daily from the current head coach of the Ohio State University, Jim Tressel. Coach Tressel is a textbook on how to conduct yourself at a major college level with integrity." Congrats on your HoF induction.

(ESPN.com) Notre Dame moved to the NCAA women's soccer championship behind Mandy Laddish, who scored her second goal of the season in the 83rd minute to beat OSU 1-0. It will be the fourth appearance in the championship in seven years for the Fighting Irish.  "It's almost like a blur to me," Laddish said. "I remember the shot on goal, and I was just in shock that I actually scored and was helping us win."  Katie Baumgardner made a career-high 10 saves, many of them acrobatic, for the Buckeyes (17-5-2).  "It was exhausting," Baumgardner said.  But it wasn't enough, with no offense the one goal was all ND needed.  Congrats Buckeyes on a great season!

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP)—When the Buckeyes couldn’t shake pesky UNC-Wilmington, they knew exactly who to call on.  Jantel Lavender scored 17 of her 25 points after halftime and Samantha Prahalis had 21 points and 10 assists, leading No. 7 Ohio State to an 88-69 win over UNC Wilmington on Sunday.

The #3 OSU Buckeyes played smart basketball, supported by drives to the bucket and great outside shooting by David Lighty (21 pts) kept OSU undefeated at 5-0, mauling Miami by a score of 66-45.  Thad was happy with 52% shooting, but wants this team to "Talk more."  I think that can be worked on to help keep the team in the top tier all season.  Next up, Tuesday vs Florida State in Big Ten-ACC challenge.  Go Bucks!!

COLUMBUS--No. 3 Ohio State didn't play their best game and had to overcome a slow start to hand Morehead State its third loss and win the Global Sports Invitational championship game, 64-45.   On a night when # 2 Michigan State took it on the chin by UConn, the Buckeyes were able to avoid a 1-2 sweep in the Big Ten.  Their grizzled senior, Jon Diebler, led the way with 20 points and David Lighty had 11 to carry the way on a night when nothing seemed to come easy for Ohio State (4-0).  The Bucks next take on Miami (OH) on Friday afternoon.  Go Bucks!
